On March 6, 2023, in Dubai, at the initiative of the embassies of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, a briefing was held on preparations for the UN Conference on the Midterm Review of the Water Decade (March 22-24, 2023, New York). The briefing was opened by the heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahodur Sharifi and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Douwe Buseman.<\/p>\n
During his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan noted that this important international event chaired by the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Mr. Emomali Rahmon and the King of the Netherlands, His Highness, Willem-Alexander reflects the special importance of the global water agenda and is an outstanding example of effective cooperation between an upstream country and a downstream country located in different geographical areas in solving the most important problems of mankind.<\/p>\n
