Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres, the Founder of\u00a0\u00a0Peace and National Unity \u2014 Leader of the Nation, President of the\u00a0\u00a0Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, heads of other states,\u00a0\u00a0international experts, representatives of the structures of the United\u00a0\u00a0Nations and other international organizations took part in the\u00a0\u00a0conference.<\/p>\n
The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, made a\u00a0\u00a0meaningful speech at the Sustainable Development Goals Summit.<\/p>\n
During the speech, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon discussed\u00a0\u00a0finding ways to solve the financing problem, eliminating factors\u00a0\u00a0affecting the development of countries and other pressing issues of the\u00a0\u00a0Summit agenda.<\/p>\n
It was emphasized that today the international community should clearly\u00a0\u00a0understand that the issue of funding for development is considered one\u00a0\u00a0of the important factors in the process of achieving the Sustainable\u00a0\u00a0Development Goals.<\/p>\n
Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon considered it necessary to revise\u00a0\u00a0the structure of the international financial system in connection with\u00a0\u00a0the current realities of the modern world.<\/p>\n
\u00abIt is necessary for countries to implement a responsible monetary and\u00a0\u00a0credit policy and strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination in order\u00a0\u00a0to create a favorable international environment for developing, less\u00a0\u00a0developed and island countries to implement the 2030 Agenda,\u00bb \u2014 the\u00a0\u00a0President of the Republic of Tajikistan said.<\/p>\n
Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the Leader of the Nation, mentioned the\u00a0\u00a0measures taken by the Government of the country and expressed that\u00a0\u00a0Tajikistan is taking additional measures to eliminate the consequences\u00a0\u00a0of financial and economic problems and to make full use of the existing\u00a0\u00a0capacities in order to ensure efficient economic development, and is\u00a0\u00a0trying to expand the financing opportunities of the social sector.<\/p>\n
According to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali\u00a0\u00a0Rahmon, creating favorable international conditions for the growth of\u00a0\u00a0production to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals is essential\u00a0\u00a0along with directing domestic funds. It is important to increase the\u00a0\u00a0amount of aid for the active development of countries.<\/p>\n
The Head of State emphasized that, taking into account contemporary\u00a0\u00a0dangers and threats, we support special actions aimed at development.<\/p>\n
The negative consequences of modern risks and threats and adverse\u00a0\u00a0effects of climate change create a serious obstacle to achieving\u00a0\u00a0sustainable development.<\/p>\n
