Meeting of the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan with the UN Under-Secretary-General, Head of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office
The Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN Jonibek Hikmat met with the UN Under-Secretary-General, head of the UN Office of Counter-Terrorism Vladimir Voronkov.
According to the radio station «Voice of Tajikistan» with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, during the meeting the parties discussed issues of mutual interest in the field of combating terrorism and extremism.
The meeting mainly discussed the process of preparing an international high-level conference on the topic «International and regional cooperation in the field of border security and border control to combat terrorism and prevent the movement of terrorists», which will be held on October 18-19, 2022 in Dushanbe.
