Jonibek Hikmat made a speech at the next meeting of the Water Friends Group

On 9 February 2023, a meeting of the member countries of the Group of Friends of Water was held at the Permanent Mission of Singapore to the UN to discuss the preparation process for the upcoming United Nations 2023 Water Conference, to be held on March 22-24 this year in New York.

During the meeting a dialogue between the Deputy Secretary General of the UN Ms. Amina Mohammed, the Permanent Representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the UN Jonibek Hikmat and Yoka Brandt as the co-chairs of the Conference and the member countries of the Group of Friends of Water was held highlighting the importance of taking voluntary commitments within the framework of the Water Action Agenda and preparation process for the upcoming high-level Conference.
