Tajik delegation discussed ways to expand cooperation with the IFC management

The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan leaded by the first deputy prime minister of the country Hokim Kholiqzoda met with the managing director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Mahtar Diop and the regional vice president of the IFC Hela Sheikhruhou on the sidelines of the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington. The National Bank of Tajikistan reported.
At the meeting, the parties discussed various areas of development of Tajikistan’s cooperation with IFC, including direct lending and investment in the development of business and the private sector, development of modern digital financial services, «green» financing and achieving goals in terms of reducing the consequences of climate change, as well as technical assistance for they discussed raising the level of corporate governance in the banking sector, protecting consumer rights and improving the legal framework in this sector.
