Tashkent declared the capital of the youth of the Commonwealth of Independent States

A solemn ceremony was held to give Tashkent city the status of «Youth Capital of Commonwealth of the Independent States». Kazinform agency reported.
Heads of delegations from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the ceremony.
The decision that the city of Tashkent will be chosen as the first youth capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States was made in Sochi on June 8, 2023, at the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on the implementation of the international project «Youth Capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States».
