Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon opened a plant for the production of metal pipes and profiles LLC «Sugdmetall» in the Bobojon Gafurov district
On March 29, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, officially commissioned the enterprise for the production of metal pipes and profiles of the Limited Liability Company «Sughdmetall» in the Bobojon Gafurov district.
The enterprise was built with the contribution of Tajik and Uzbek entrepreneurs — Mullojon Mansurov and Farrukh Fakhriddinov. The creation of the metallurgical enterprise «Sughdmetall» is the result of strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, which is expanding at the will of the heads of the two countries on the basis of interstate agreements.
The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the metalworking enterprise was created for more than 500 million somoni of domestic and foreign investments, the construction of production facilities and industry infrastructure was carried out on an area of 6.5 hectares, modern equipment of European standards was imported and installed.
As was informed, the newly created enterprise «Sugdmetall» has established the production of metal pipes and profiles using advanced world technologies.
The production process from cutting metal, processing and production of pipes and profiles to packaging of products is carried out on a complex of machines and equipment manufactured by well-known companies of European countries — «Faspar», «Otto Mels», «Filtra», «MTS» and «Termotu».
The enterprise has 2 units of technological equipment for the production of pipes and profiles of the company «Otto Mels», which has large production capacities. Each of these technological lines produces 160 meters of pipes and profiles per minute, and the annual capacity is 100 thousand tons of construction metal products.
The production process includes welding, cutting with diamond stone, sawing and packaging of products.
Using modern technological equipment, 50 types of metal pipes and profiles are produced in accordance with the quality and standards for volumes and dimensions.
According to the production and commercial plans of the enterprise, in the future, with the study of the needs of the domestic market, the sizes and types of metal pipes and profiles will be increased.
The founders and entrepreneurs of the Limited Liability Company «Sugdmetall» plan to increase the volume of production and increase the number of employees to 300 people with the full development of the domestic market. At the same time, the enterprise has the opportunity to export products abroad.
With the construction of administrative buildings, a canteen, sanitary and hygienic points, recreation areas, a fitness room in the building, regulatory conditions for the activities of engineering and technical personnel and workers have been created.
The head of state, respected Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the production process, called worthy the initiatives of domestic and foreign entrepreneurs and specialists of the Sugdmetall company in the creation of this modern enterprise, as a contribution to the implementation of the fourth strategic goal — accelerated industrialization of the country and a worthy meeting of the glorious holiday — the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was reported that the creative measures taken by the Government of the country and the initiatives of entrepreneurs and investors lay the foundation for the development of the industry; over the past 5 years, the volume of the country’s industrial complex has increased from 27 billion to 53 billion somoni, which is almost twice as much.
During this period, more than 2,040 industrial enterprises and 74 thousand jobs were created in the country. In 2024 alone, 740 new manufacturing enterprises and workshops were built, and in general, about 20 thousand jobs were created in this sector. The average annual growth rate of the industry during this period was ensured at the level of 15 percent.
