Tajikistan — UNESCO 30 years of fruitful cooperation

On August 11, the National Museum of Tajikistan hosted an event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the UNESCO .During the his opening  speech, Sirojiddin Muhriddin recalled the history of cooperation between Tajikistan and UNESCO and assessed the role of the country’s leadership  in strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and UNESCO as important. Another point that was mentioned it was inclusion of several cultural, material and non-material heritages that represented the culture and high civilization of Tajiks in the world arena. Acting Director of the UNESCO Almaty Cluster Office, Mr. Amir Pirich, emphasized the  role of Tajikistan in presenting the culture of not only Tajikistan, but the region at whole as very effective. At the same time, he expressed his readiness that UNESCO can protect all cultural objects in the country from risks such as natural disasters.

Panjshanbezoda Muhiddin — advisor of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for social development and public relations, has also presented at the conference. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan Zulfiya Davlatzoda, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan Farhod Rahiami and other representatives of the field spoke and emphasized the role of the UNESCO in presenting the culture and civilization of Tajiks on the world stage.
