Celebration of Independence Day and the 30th anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan in Riyadh

On September 25, 2022, a solemn event was held in Riyadh in honor of the 31st anniversary of the State Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan and the 30th anniversary of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of Tajiks living in Saudi Arabia and representatives of official and business circles of the host country.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi, in his congratulatory speech, spoke about the high values of independence and sovereignty, the achievements of the country during the period of independence under the leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the historical significance of the XVI Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan in the modern history of the country.

It was emphasized that the historic XVI Session of the Supreme Council gave a solid start to the process of restoring the constitutional order of the country and protecting the values of a democratic and law-governed state and created the first basis for mutual understanding, national harmony and peace among the Tajiks.
