Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said, meets the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Tajikistan
Mutually beneficial cooperation between the Khatlon region and regions of Kazakhstan was discussed on November 15 in Bokhtar by the Chairman of the Khatlon region Davlatali Said, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Tajikistan Valikhan Turekhanov and representatives of business and investment circles of Kazakhstan.
It was expressed interest in building long-term relationships that would facilitate the effective use of potential.
It was noted that the south of Tajikistan has always been famous for its high-quality and environmentally friendly agricultural products. Last year, the region produced 410,000 tons of early onions, most of which were exported to foreign markets, including Kazakhstan. Every year the region produces more than 80,000 tons of cotton fiber, 55,000 skins of large and small livestock, more than 6,000 tons of wool, most of which is exported abroad.
“Khatlon region is ready to increase the export of its products to Kazakhstan,” said the chairman of the region.
Kazakh entrepreneurs expressed interest in increasing the volume of exports of cotton, vegetables and fruits to Kazakhstan.
